I love my Hawthorn tree, even though it has some scary thorns on it, it blooms white blossoms in the spring and provides red berries in the fall that feed the birds till winter, Hawthorns provide food and shelter for many species of birds and mammals, and the flowers are important for many nectar-feeding insects. This photo looks kind of like a natural wreath. Lots of berries on this year, possibly means a cold winter.
